NoaNet - Northwest Open Access Network

Brand Positioning and Messaging

This telecommunications catalyst spent two decades transforming Washington’s rural communities by bringing customers “middle mile” infrastructure. NoaNet also realized that looking ahead, it was ready for its own transformation. CMA engaged NoaNet’s key team and stakeholders for a twofold branding exercise: to zero in on its core values and to develop a messaging foundation.

Through visual storytelling, CMA illustrated the tangible side of an otherwise faceless utility. Combining existing customer testimonials with dramatic drone and project footage, created a behind-the-curtain glimpse of how NoaNet bridges the digital divide.

LOGO DESIGN AND BRAND STANDRDS

CMA’s graphic design and branding team drew from NoaNet’s existing elements of red and black, and created sharper and livelier logo iterations that suggested connected, interlinking features. From there, a suite of collateral followed, based on new brand standards for both visual and written communication.

From the logo design and brand elements, CMA moved to NoaNet’s site redesign. The agency approached this overhaul with responsive web design at the forefront, so that readability renders well on a variety of devices and screen sizes. CMA organized the pages, refined content, and bolstered NoaNet’s rich case study bank, videos and blogs to better demonstrate how the company transforms communities.

Content Marketing and digital advertising

Keeping in mind that NoaNet is not an ISP, its key customers are largely municipalities, with elected leaders or IT engineers looking for network operations center (NOC) support and “middle mile” infrastructure guidance. We leveraged NoaNet’s case studies, competencies, thought leadership and industry currents for content marketing and digital advertising that hits exactly where community leaders are looking.

Inside the middle mile-CMA produced a poignant story using firsthand accounts and day-in-the-life footage of small-town Washington. Here, the lockstep partnership between NoaNet and Stevens County illustrates how middle mile broadband ensured one community’s public safety, telemedicine, education and surrounding small businesses. People are what it’s all about.
