‘The Bachelor’ in Portland’s Paradise
Over Valentine’s Day, former Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise contestant Marcus Grodd dabbled in Portland-style romance. Creative Media Alliance worked with the reality TV star to become a brand ambassador for Hotel Eastlund, one of our clients, for their Valentine’s Day weekend special.
Marcus took over Eastlund’s Instagram for the three days he was there, posting images and stories on both Eastlund’s and his own Instagram. Our social media services team tended to other social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter, to draw attention to the content and Marcus’ visit. As a name synonymous with romance and with over 177,000 Instagram followers, Marcus was the perfect celebrity to give an “insider’s perspective” of Eastlund’s Valentine’s Day special. His posts drew attention to Eastlund’s rooftop bar, amenities, and perks of the special as he enjoyed in-room champagne and toured the city.
Partnering with Marcus allowed us to leverage his brand with Eastlund’s, highlighting the luxury and style guests can expect. The campaign was a success — thanks to Marcus, our social engagement increased by 325%. We gained new fans and were able to give current fans a fresh peek into life at Hotel Eastlund.
CMA is no stranger to harnessing star-power: our video production team often teams up with local and national celebrities, such as former Seattle Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid for our Audi Seattle commercials. Working with a recognizable brand ambassador can be an impactful method of broadening audience and awareness, and we’re grateful to have had the chance to help Eastlund promote its Valentine’s Day package.
